Emily Shine has worked as a Recreational Therapist and Home Health Aid for the past eighteen years. Prior to joining Broward Children’s Center, Emily worked for Broward Nursing and Rehabilitation Center as a Recreational Therapist for five years. Emily joined Broward Children’s Center Group Homes in October 2006. Emily coordinates the different programs between both Group Home One and Group Home Three including attending school IEP meetings, working with the Residents Support Coordinators, accompanying the residents to Doctor’s appointments, and supervising the Group Home staff. In addition to working in the group homes, Emily spends evenings and weekends working for the Respite Program. Prior to relocating to Florida, Emily attended Northeastern University and the University of Rhode Island. She is a certified Recreational Therapist.

For more than 37 years, Broward Children’s Center has been providing medical, educational, and advocacy services to infants, children, and young adults with special needs.
