Emily Shine joined Broward Children's Center's Group Home program in August 2006. Emily coordinates the different programs for both Group Home One and Group Home Three; including attending School IEP meetings, working with the waiver support coordinators, accompanying residents to doctor's appointments and supervising the Group Home staff. Prior to joining Broward Children's Center, Emily worked as a Recreational Therapist and Home Health Aid for Broward Nursing and Rehabilitaion Center. Emily is a certified Recreational Therapist and is currently seeking her diploma as a Registered Medical Assistant.

For more than 37 years, Broward Children’s Center has been providing medical, educational, and advocacy services to infants, children, and young adults with special needs.
