Lisa Shafer joined Broward Children’s Center’s Comprehensive Care Center in­ December 1992. She earned her Licensed Practical Nursing Degree from Atlantic Vocational Technical School. Her previous experience includes typical child care and orthopedics. Over the 15 years she has been with Broward Children’s Center, Lisa has worked as a teacher’s assistant, floor nurse in CompCare, as a home heath nurse, respite nurse, and preschool nurse. Currently, Lisa is the Quality Improvement Nurse and Program Manager for the School Health Program.

For more than 37 years, Broward Children’s Center has been providing medical, educational, and advocacy services to infants, children, and young adults with special needs.
