Lisa Emken joined the Broward Children’s Center Foundation in September 2009. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in both Sociology and Criminal Justice from Simpson College and a Master's degree in Public Administration from University of Nebraska at Omaha. Lisa is responsible for development activities, including fundraising, donor relations, volunteer coordination, client and community satisfaction. Lisa joined the Foundation in 2009 after working in the marketing field for a number of years. Previously, she was a Case Manager with ChildServe, an organization in the Mid-west serving children with special needs. Lisa has worked for nonprofits, academic institutions, and corporate firms in both the Southeast and Midwest and has been an active volunteer in many community-based non-profits.
For 40 years, Broward Children’s Center has been providing medical, educational, and advocacy services to infants, children, and young adults with special needs.
