Lisa McDermott joined the Broward Children’s Center Foundation in September 2009. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in both Sociology and Criminal Justice from Simpson College and a Master's degree in Public Administration from University of Nebraska at Omaha. Lisa is responsible for the foundation's community and client relations activities, including fundraising, volunteer coordination, client and community satisfaction, information technology, and communications. Lisa joined the Foundation in 2009 after working in the marketing field for a number of years. Previously, she was a Case Manager with ChildServe, an organization in the Mid-west serving children with special needs. Lisa has worked for nonprofits, academic institutions, and corporate firms in both the Southeast and Midwest and has been an active volunteer in many community-based non-profits.
For more than 37 years, Broward Children’s Center has been providing medical, educational, and advocacy services to infants, children, and young adults with special needs.
