Patty Hammett joined Broward Children’s Center’s Preschool in August 1998. She has earned a Bachelor of Social Work from Florida Atlantic University and a Master of Social Work from Barry University. Patty worked at the Preschool North site for three years as the Program Manager before transferring to the PPEC program where she managed the day to day operations until 2004. After the center received a three year county funded case management grant, Patty returned to the preschool as the Project Manager where she oversaw the social workers who provided early intervention services to the children and interacted with families on a daily basis ensuring they received necessary services. She continues to work at the school with the children and families. Her previous experience includes nine years at First Baptist Church Fort Lauderdale as an assistant to the Associate Pastor where she provided a full range of support and services to the membership.
For more than 37 years, Broward Children’s Center has been providing medical, educational, and advocacy services to infants, children, and young adults with special needs.
