POMPANO BEACH FL – Children’s Comprehensive Care Center (CompCare) has named Carole Jenkins as its new Director of Nursing.
Jenkins has more than two decades of experience in the health care field, including extensive expertise in critical care, case management, and infection control.
In her new role, Jenkins will oversee CompCare’s nursing department and the almost 50 pediatric health care professionals who staff the facility. CompCare remains the only free standing pediatric skilled nursing facility in the South Eastern United States.

Jenkins most recently served as Assistant Director of Nursing at Boulevard Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation and as a Critical Care Nurse at Cedars Medical Center. The Barry University graduate has also worked as the Director of Nursing at Pinecrest Convalescent Center.
Jenkins is a Registered Nurse and Clinic Laboratory Supervisor who is a Certified MDS/PPS Coordinator and has received both the Barry University Service and Helen B. Helkiner Award.
An accomplished Unit Manger at Sinai Plaza and Nursing Supervisor at Jackson Plaza Nursing and Rehabilitation, Jenkins was also the Project Coordinator of the Gratigny Elementary School’s Healthy Kids and Body Mass Index Projects.
Jenkins is fluent in Creole and an experienced quality assurance and risk management professional.
