Record participation are also expected due to a new partnership this year between the nonprofit center and the Pompano Beach Air Fair, which will provide free admission to the Air Fair for walkers and deliver a percentage of profits to Broward Children’s Center. All proceeds from the walk will benefit the local nonprofit, which has been providing medical, educational and therapeutic services to local youth with physical and cognitive disabilities for more than 30 years.

Competitors will circle the Pompano Beach Air Park and enjoy post event refreshments, prizes, t-shirts and more than 50 aircraft displays and performances, carshow, military displays, children’s rides and local food stalls.

The route will take walkers 4.2 miles around Pompano Beach Air Park, located at 1101 North Federal Highway, half way between Atlantic Boulevard and Copans Road. Walking teams, rollerbladers, those with strollers, and wheelchair participants are all welcome. Drinks and support services will be provided along the route and all walkers can enjoy free access to the Air Fair’s more than 50 aircraft displays, carshow, military displays, children’s rides and local food stalls.

For more than 30 years, Broward Children’s Center has been providing medical, educational, therapeutic and advocacy services to infants, children and young adults with special needs.
