An Affair to Remember with Beta Sigma Phi
Long-time Center supporter, Beta Sigma Phi is hosting a fun-filled evening of cocktails, dinner and dancing at the Lighthouse Point Yacht and Racquet Club on April 1st 2006 at 7:00pm.
The theme for this year’s spectacular is “An Affair to Remember” and will feature raffles, silent auctions, and much more. Celebrity Bartenders Serve up a Bonefish Bash
Bill McGough (AKA Billy from Philly) and Mike Bonner host a Celebrity Bartender Night at Lighthouse Point’s Bonefish Mac’s Sports Grille on Wednesday, February 22, 2006.
The event will feature the famous Bonner’s Babes and will include a live auctions, door prizes, and raffles. All proceeds raised will benefit Broward Children’s Center.

The Blue Foundation for a Healthy Florida has awarded Broward Children’s Center the Sapphire Award Recognizing Community Health Excellence. The award acknowledges three nonprofits that have demonstrated a significant, positive impact on health-related outcomes for the state’s at-risk citizens and communities.

Residents Earn Their Wings
Three Broward Children’s Center residents have taken to the skies for the first time in light aircraft flights thanks to a partnership with Challenge Air.
“It was awesome,” said resident, Phillip Starling. “It’s one of the greatest things I’ve even done – the pilot even let me take the controls.”
Challenge Air is a nonprofit organization that offers motivational, inspirational and life-changing experiences to physically challenged children and youth through aviation.

Broward Children’s Center Foundation Names New Administrator
POMPANO BEACH FL (11-23-05) – Ramon M. Flores, an experienced skilled nursing facility professional has been named Administrator of the Children’s Comprehensive Care Center (CompCare).
As Administrator, Flores will oversee operations of the CompCare facility, the only free standing pediatric skilled nursing facility in the South Eastern United States.
Flores most recently served as Assistant Administrator for Plantation Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. In addition to assisting in the day-to-day operations of the 152-bed facility, Flores headed that organization’s human resources department. More
