Pompano Beach Fire Fighters Visit Center

Continuing a long tradition of support of the Center, Pompano Beach Firefighters visited residents with Santa and his elves to give out gifts bought specially from the children's own wish lists.

Building Bridges Marks New Record
Just one year after opening, Broward Children's Center's Building Bridges Preschool at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church has marked a new record of 32 children enrolled in its preschool programs. “We couldn’t be happier with the progress at Building Bridges,” said operations officer, Jacqui Mogavero. “Its progress ensures our community has an exceptional educational resource.”

Center's Children
join the Parade

Broward Children's Center Preschoolers joined local residents for the annual Pompano Beach Yuletide Parade. Children enjoyed holiday snacks and a ride on a parade float down Atlantic Blvd.

New Nursery Opens

Nearly six years of planning and construction culminated when Senator Nan Rich and Pompano Mayor Lamar Fisher cut the ribbon on Broward Children's Center's new nursery. More

United Way Day of Caring Transforms Center

More than 600 volunteers descended on Broward Children's Center in October as part of the United Way of Broward County's 2007 Day of Caring. Volunteers constructed universal playgrounds, painted facilities, landscaped, and completed murals as part of the event to support the children the Center serves. More

Alchemy Awarded FHCA Honor record year

Broward Children's Center resident, Alchemy Fletcher has been named Florida Health Care Association’s Resident of the Year. Alchemy is the first child in FHCA history to be awared this honor. More

NFL Alumni Bring Holiday Cheer to Center

Children at the Center’s CompCare facility received some special guests for the holidays as former Miami Dolphin greats dropped by to spread some seasonal cheer.

Members of the undefeated Dolphins team of 1972 and other NFL Alumni visited the Center’s infants, children and young adults with special needs to help Santa hand out gifts, sign autographs, and share special holiday treats. More

The Isle Grants Some Holiday Wishes

The Isle Casino made the holiday wishes of three Center residents come true this year by providing a check for three new computers for young adults living at the Center's sub-acute and group home facilities. Top
