Medical Care Support Services

Caregiver Support Services

The Medical Care Support Services (MCSS) Program at Broward Children’s Center supports caregivers in navigating through the complicated process of coordinating appointments, accessing evaluation services (ie Psychosocial, Developmental and Nutritional assessments) as well as provides health education and overall support to the entire family. One of our Medical Social Workers will work one-on-one with parents and caregivers to identify family needs and bridge any gaps to meeting those needs.

It is our goal to partner with families to ensure they are receiving the essential tools and support as they navigate the multi-faceted needs of their special needs child as well as their entire family.

Our Medical Care Supports Program helps assist families through:

  • Medical Social work
  • Health Education
  • Developmental Assessment
  • Nutrition Assessment
  • Psychosocial Evaluation
  • Family Support

Additionally, we offer specialized services provided by one of our Medical Social Workers in both Pompano Beach and Dania Beach, in the client’s home, at the child’s school or service provider, or over the phone as needed. Caregivers who reside in Broward Country and have a child with special needs (ages 3 to 21), and meet the income criteria are eligible for services. To inquire about eligibility for the BCC Medical Care Support Services, or to speak to one of our Medical Social Workers, or for any additional information, and to Apply please contact 954.299.0617 or email us.
